2011 Student Orientation

New Students

If you have completed the Admissions process and have been accepted into a specific degree program here at Erskine Theological Seminary and need to learn of the tools necessary to effectively chart your course, then this orientation is an excellent opportunity to do just that. Faculty will be on hand to offer advising, pictures will be taken for Student IDs, and parking decals distributed. If you need library instruction and access into the ATLA database, there will be a tour of the Due West Campus.

Current Students

If you have been at Erskine Theological Seminary awhile and have never attended an orientation then this orientation would benefit you as well! If you need Professional Assessment, ID cards or Library access, Alumni or advising, all of these components will be available for you.

Prospective Students

If you are considering Seminary for your graduate or post-graduate degree and are looking for information regarding Erskine Theological Seminary's Mission and degree programs, this orientation is an excellent opportunity to introduce you to life at Erskine. On behalf of Interim Vice President Dr. Steve Lowe, the Board of Trustees, the faculty, and staff, we welcome you to Erskine Theological Seminary.

Erskine Theological Seminary’s Columbia and Due West campuses are hosting a Student Orientation on Thursday, August 18th and Friday August 19th beginning at 8:30 a.m. with registration, followed by informational and advising sessions. Orientation is required of all new students and is part of standard admission processes. This first experience is a vital key to success and students find the fellowship, instruction and spirit of the orientation experience extremely helpful toward integration into the seminary community.

During this event, prospective, new, and current students will be equipped with information needed for successful tenures as graduate students.  This event will provide you with an opportunity to meet faculty and staff who will assist you in your seminary careers and allow you to meet current and future students just like yourself.

We hope you are as excited as we are about all of the possibilities God has for you in the months and years ahead.  Please register your attendance below and include the name of any additional guests.  Spouses are invited and encouraged to attend.

It is our desire that at the end of the day you feel more informed and connected to the Erskine Theological Seminary community. We look forward to seeing you on campus.

Please contact Crystal Tolbert in Columbia at tolbert@erskine.edu or Mary Stephens in Due West at stephens@erskine.edu to inform us of your arrival.
