Evelyn Ellis
Evelyn is expected to graduate with a Master of Divinity degree in May 2011. This is her second year of participating in the Partners Scholarship Program. “When my call to ministry came to me it seemed to be an answer to a deep longing. Three months later, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Finances were a problem, but God made a way through the Partners Scholarship Program. My only prayer is that I am able to complete my course work in a way that glorifies God, and that God will enable me to be of service to others.”
Matt Yon
Matt graduated from Erskine Theological Seminary May, 2008, with a Master of Divinity degree. He participated as a student the first two years the Partners Scholarship Program was offered and has now become a contributing sponsor. “The Partners Scholarship Program made a difference in my seminary education. The support from the program enhanced my seminary experience because I knew that there were people who were praying for me and willing to support me not only financially, but spiritually. As a recent graduate, I have no debt from seminary and am able to focus on one of the most important jobs in this world: ministry in the local church.”
Tom and Roz Sheppard
Tom Sheppard is a 1998 Erskine Theological Seminary graduate. He and his wife, Roz, donate monthly to the Partners Scholarship Fund. “I could not have attended Erskine Seminary without the generosity of others, so Roz and I want to help others attend. We also want to be responsible stewards of God’s gifts to us. With increasing numbers of Americans embracing a non-Christian worldview, our support of explicit Christian education is not only a solemn privilege, it is a wise Kingdom investment.”
